The family found a home in the East End of London, and Rose brought an apprenticeship with Adolf Cohen of Whitechapel Road, the "educator" of the hairdressing exchange (who likewise prepared Vidal Sassoon). At 20, she wedded a kindred beautician, Albert Evansky.
